Brett's Snazz-O-Rama Home Page

Last updated: Monday, August 29, 2011.

Welcome to Brett's Snazz-O-Rama Homepage. Way back in the twentieth century, before there were "blogs" or "social networking," there was the personal web page. People (mostly at universities) would hand-craft their HTML, add some sweet animated GIFs, and blather on about whatever. This page is a relic of those days.

A little bit about me: I'm a software engineer at Google. From 2006-2011, I worked on tools for film and games at Industrial Light & Magic.

In 2005, I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Washington in Seattle. I was in the Graphics and Imaging Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, doing research on human animation, co-advised by Brian Curless and Zoran Popović.

In April 1999 I finished an Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia located in Vancouver, Canada. As part of the Co-op program, I did internships with Electronic Arts, Sony, and a research group for educational games.
