In Mark Rosewater's March 15th "Making Magic" column, he introduced the idea of card chains. For example, combining the cards "Hill Giant" + "Giant Strength" + "Strength of Lunacy" gives you "Hill Giant Strength of Lunacy." Mark then challenged readers to find the longest such chain. Naturally I set about coding it up. My first chain was based on some faulty assumptions (apparently connections such as "Breath of Darigaaz's Caldera" are not allowed), but I decided to immortalize it in the following photoshop:
